Celebrate Independence Day in Springfield

celebrate independence day in springfield, missouri

Come celebrate the red, white and blue this Independence Day in downtown Springfield for the 27th Annual Fourth of July parade and celebration.

The festivities will begin with the parade at 10 a.m., which will once again feature various floats, acts and veterans who will all be paying tribute to this momentous holiday. The parade kicks off on Benton Avenue and ends on Washington Avenue, where you’ll find plenty of games and live music to keep the fun alive.

Come hungry too, as there will be an assortment of food items for sale, including brats, hot dogs and hamburgers, along with plenty of ice-cold beverages. It is also highly recommended to arrive as early as possible to ensure a good spot – the parade draws up to 1,000 people each year.

If you can’t make it to the parade, make sure you make time for the fireworks show at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. Gates open at 6 p.m., and the fireworks will start igniting the night sky at dusk. Plus, there will be plenty of entertainment too, including live music and bounce houses for your little ones. We hope you have a safe and happy Fourth of July!
