Subaru Outback

While it’s fun to drive around in high-powered luxury vehicles, these aren’t always the best options when you need something for daily driving. A sensible vehicle is what most consumers are requesting from manufacturers. Subaru has a lineup of practical vehicles that are affordable and reliable for all demographics. The Outback has been one of their most popular models since 1996. There are a few different trim levels that are part of the most recent Outback model. Let’s compare some of them to find out what will work best for you.

The 2.5i Subaru Outback

This is the base trim level Outback for the current model year. By no means is this a vehicle that lacks features or power. In fact, the 2.5i has plenty of standard inclusions to keep everyone happy. The touchscreen infotainment system is 6.5 inches in size. It works with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You can also view your rearview camera from this system, and you can control all of your audio controls and phone calls from here as well. The engine is a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that provides 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque.

The 2.5i Premium Trim Level

The Premium Subaru Outback comes with many of the same features as the 2.5i base level. However, some convenience items have been added for a step up from the base. Consumers love the heated seats, heated exterior mirrors, power seats, power recognition seat positioning and a 6-speaker audio sound system. The infotainment system has an 8-inch screen.

The 2.5i Premium Trim Level

If you want one of the more luxury-focused Outbacks on the market, then you’ll want to opt for the 2.5i Premium. If you’re wondering which Outback gets the leather seats; this is the one. You’ll get increased safety from automatic rearview braking technology, upgraded LED headlights and taillights, lane departure warning system, etc. Under the hood is a 6-cylinder engine that provides 256 horsepower. The exterior has some upgrades, including 18 inch, machine-finished wheels.
