The redesigned 2015 Subaru Legacy made its formal introduction at this year's Chicago Auto Show, flaunting a myriad of redesigned and brand-new features. Its safety functions, fuel economy and interior space have all been improved for the 2015 model year and its exterior has received more sporty design elements, bringing new life to the sedan.

Donning a new profile similar to that of a coupe, the 2015 Legacy features modifications to its front end, which include a revised grille that seamlessly runs into the bumper, creating a fluid look. Changes to its windshield angle, hip points and front partition windows have also led to an increase in aerodynamics, which enhances the Legacy's overall performance.

Other notable revisions in the redesigned Subaru Legacy are its interior space and safety functions. Subaru boasts that the new model has the largest interior passenger volume in the midsize sedan segment, sporting 104.6 cu. ft. of room within the cabin, while the 2014 model only features 103 cu. ft. of space. The sedan is also now equipped with a new rear radar system with blind spot detection, lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert in addition to an optional new EyeSight driver assist system, which provides lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and pre-collision braking.

To top it all off, the 2015 Subaru Legacy in Springfield is available with two different powertrain options: a 2.5L four-cylinder BOXER engine and a 3.6L six-cylinder BOXER engine. The four-cylinder engine delivers 175 horsepower, while the six-cylinder engine produces 256 horsepower. In addition to the powertrains, all Subaru models also come outfitted with a Lineartronic CVT that has been modified to increase fuel efficiency and save drivers on gas.
