The 2015 Subaru WRX and WRX STI recently received their very first evaluations from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and we're pleased to announce that each car earned Top Safety Pick awards due to their incredible safety features! The pair join four other Subaru models that have received awards from IIHS, making Subaru the brand with the most Top Safety Picks for 2014.
Both the Subaru WRX and WRX STI became eligible for Top Safety Pick awards after they passed each IIHS evaluation, including the critical small overlap front test. With incredible performance and safety features, such as symmetrical all-wheel drive, active front head restraints, a rearview camera, and a brand-new driver knee airbag, the WRX models were clear front contenders for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's coveted award.
