The Subaru BRZ is currently on the path to receiving an STI Edition, which is likely to arrive within the next two years. The Subaru BRZ STI Performance concept that debuted at the 2015 New York Auto Show was a first look at design and styling the automaker may apply to a production version of the high-end model. A fan favorite among Subaru enthusiasts, the BRZ will be a perfect addition to the STI lineup.

Subaru spokesperson Michael McHale recently revealed the news about the upcoming Subaru BRZ STI Edition. He said it would not have come with a 345-horsepower turbocharged engine like the concept car, but it would feature larger brakes, a body kit, enhanced suspension and additional components that will showcase the true beauty and power behind the STI signature. No other details have been released about the Subaru BRZ STI Edition at this time, but with the introduction of the model in the U.S. just a couple years away, one can only assume that Subaru may be thinking about creating STI versions of other models in their North American lineup. As of now, the WRX STI is the sole performance model offered by the brand in the U.S., which you can learn more about on our 2015 Subaru WRX review page.
