A “Pure Red” Subaru Crosstrek Special Edition is scheduled to be released this spring, and when it does, a limited 1,500 units will hit the market. Subaru recently announced the upcoming CUV at this year’s Chicago Auto Show in an effort to get fans excited about its future arrival.

When the upcoming SE Subaru Crosstrek sees the light of day, it will come with the aforementioned “Pure Red” paint job, matching foldable side mirrors with integrated turn signals, and red stitching on the leather-wrapped shift lever handle, door panels and steering wheel. It will also come equipped with Subaru’s Starlink 6.2” multimedia system, which offers Bluetooth connectivity, a single-disc CD player and HD Radio. Smartphone integration is also available and comes with iHeart Radio, Weather, News, Pandora, Stitcher and available SiriusXM Satellite Radio.

On top of these benefits, the Special Edition model will come outfitted with the All-Weather Package, which features a windshield wiper deicer, heated front seats and heated exterior mirrors. Keyless access with push-button start, a power moonroof, rear cross traffic alert and blind spot detection will be standard as well.

Powering the new SE Crosstrek will be Subaru’s signature 2.0L Boxer engine, generating 148 horsepower and 145 lb.-ft. of torque. It comes solely with a continuously variable transmission and is able to deliver smooth performance and ride quality.
