festival on the edge springfield missouri

Mark your calendar! On Saturday, June 3rd, from 8-5 p.m., gather your family and friends and get ready to have a great time at Festival on the Edge in downtown Springfield.

A perfect excuse to relax and unwind, the free event offers a wide range of delicious food fare, a beer garden where you can relax with a frosty brew or two and various adult games. For children, there’s a Kids Zone, face-painting and inflatables. Also, if you’re up for a run, you’re in luck, as there will be a 5k open to all who are in good health.

The rappel viewing area is one of the event’s biggest attractions and creates quite the buzz around town. Watch as daredevils rappel down the 16-story Sky Eleven building in an effort to raise money for the Child Advocacy Center (CAC). The group provides child-friendly and age-appropriate services to children who are victims of abuse.

According to the CAC’s website, “Behind the scenes, a full team of investigators collaborates to determine the most appropriate action to take on behalf of each child victim.”

In 2016, the organization served 1,349 children from 16 countries.

A fun and exciting way to help a worthy cause, Festival on the Edge is just what you’ve been waiting for.
