Subaru has long been recognized as a standout in the auto industry, and 2025 continues that tradition. The brand’s latest achievement is securing the top spot in the 2025 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) Automobile Study. This year, Subaru excelled in several key areas, including dependability and safety. With an impressive score of 85%, Subaru not only led all automakers in the study but also improved its overall score by 2% compared to 2024.
What is the ACSI Study?
For more than 25 years, the ACSI Study has measured customer satisfaction across multiple industries, including the automotive sector. Each year, about 200,000 consumers participate, providing feedback that determines rankings. The ACSI Automobile Study evaluates more than 100 aspects of advanced vehicle technology and is unique in surveying only owners who have had their vehicles for at least 90 days. Results are compiled on a 100-point scale, and nearly 40 mass-market automakers are reviewed annually.
Subaru’s 2025 Accomplishments
In this year’s ACSI Study, Subaru once again distinguished itself as a leader in the automotive market. The brand earned high marks across several categories, securing the number one position overall among competitors.
Subaru claimed top rankings in Vehicle Safety, Product Quality, Overall Product and Service Quality, Perceived Value, Dependability, and Driving Performance. Safety has always been a hallmark for Subaru, and 2025 marks the sixth consecutive year the automaker led the category. It also achieved its fifth straight win for Product Quality and its third consecutive recognition for both Overall Product and Service Quality and Perceived Value.
