The Springfield Police Officers Association and the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police are holding the First Annual Foot Pursuit 5K & 8K Fun Run and they're inviting everyone in the Springfield area to come out and join in on the event. Scheduled to take place this Saturday, March 15, at 3111 E. Battlefield, the run is a great event for the whole family and is being held to raise awareness for local organizations such as The Salvation Army, SWI Industrial Solutions and Missouri Fraternal Order of Police Foundation.
To join in on the races, families and individual runners can register online for either the 5K or 8K run. All participants are encouraged to dress up as either cops or robbers and are also eligible to win the best dressed contest! In addition to the races, there will also be an inflatable obstacle course and a doughnut eating contest for all to enjoy. Sign up today to secure your spot in the races or register on race day from 7 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. The Fun Run begins promptly at 9 a.m., so make sure you're there on time and get ready to have a fun-filled day like no other!
