Kelley Blue Book has revealed the complete set of vehicles on their 16 Best Family Cars of 2016 list and we’re honored to say that the 2016 Subaru Outback earned a spot in the compilation. The wagon went up against 24 competitors to make it on the list and was praised for its cargo and passenger space, and first-class off-road capability.
Kelley Blue Book spent two weeks evaluating 24 different vehicles to determine which ones would make their coveted list. Their team of testers focused on each car’s spaciousness, passenger and cargo space, convenience, safety, and comfort, giving the green light to vehicles that fared well in all areas.
Offering 104 cu. ft. of space for passengers, 35.5 cu. ft. of cargo space with the rear seats up and 73.3 cu. ft. of cargo space with the rear seats folded down, the 2016 Subaru Outback was easily a top contender for the list. The latest model is also available with Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, SUBARU STARLINK infotainment system, Symmetrical AWD and two BOXER engines: a 175-horsepower four-cylinder engine or a 256-horsepower six-cylinder. Paired with a CVT, each engine delivers optimal performance.
