2023 Subaru Ascent Exterior

What's New for the 2023 Subaru Ascent?

Subaru's largest SUV returns for 2023 with an updated appearance. Not only does the Ascent's front fascia feature new LED headlights and a more prominent grille, but it also receives a new bumper cover with lower-edge air ducts. Meanwhile, sleeker taillights give the rear fascia a fresh look. Technology lovers will especially enjoy Ascent's Starlink multimedia system, which now features a standard 11.6-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity. Subaru has also updated the Ascent with its latest EyeSight driver-assist safety technologies.

2023 Ascent Trims & Features

The new Ascent gives you several well-equipped trims to choose from. Even the lower-priced base model brings a lot to the table. A big highlight is Subaru's recently upgraded infotainment system. Multiple USB ports, three-zone automatic climate control, and LED headlights are also on the SUV's list of standard equipment.

Additional amenities are found on the Premium trim. Its heated front seats will warm you up during the winter. Meanwhile, stain-resistant cloth upholstery makes it easy to clean up spills. Although the standard version of the Premium trim can accommodate up to eight passengers, available second-row captain's chairs reduce the cabin's capacity to seven people.

Equipped with exclusive 20-inch black wheels and a black grille, the Onyx Edition trim has an especially bold look. Other niceties include StarTex water-repellent upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and a power rear liftgate. A new Onyx Edition Limited trim arrives this year. While music fans can rock out to its 14-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, a 360-degree camera system makes parking less challenging. Heated second-row seats, an upgraded instrument cluster, and integrated navigation are also found on this upscale trim.

Another option is the leather-appointed Ascent Limited. A simulated leather dash panel and second-row retractable sunshades come standard. Atop the lineup sits the Touring trim. It adds ventilated front seats, a 180-degree front camera, and Nappa leather upholstery.
