Exploring the 2023 Solterra's Advanced Technologies

Don't expect to find the conventional BOXER engine on the 2023 Solterra. Instead, this all-new crossover SUV is powered by dual electric motors and a high-capacity battery. The efficient propulsion system adopts the iconic Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, which properly distributes torque to all four wheels. The X-MODE is another familiar mechanical technology that makes an appearance on this innovative Subaru model, which clears the ground by 8.3 inches. With help from the Hill Ascent and Descent Assist, this light-duty electric car will tackle steep terrains with incredible composure. The proprietary Subaru StarDrive technology enables one-pedal driving on the highway. You could even use paddle shifters and the Sport Mode to manage the gearbox for optimum performance.

When it comes to digital technologies, the 2023 Solterra boasts a handful of all-new features for enhanced productivity and entertainment. Measuring 12.3 inches diagonally, the multimedia display has a highly intuitive menu for easy handling of major settings. In addition to having the familiar Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connections, the next-generation infotainment center includes various cloud-hosted applications. You could use the Solterra Connect app to manage the vehicle on your smartphone remotely. For example, the navigation system readily accepts directions from an external mobile device. Similarly, your smartphone could remotely unlock the Solterra doors or start the electric powertrain. With just a few voice commands, you could use some of the remote services from the Solterra Connect interface. This all-new Subaru model also offers a premium sound system that's made by Harman Kardon. As in previous years, the custom audio system plays songs from SiriusXM Satellite Radio and a few other popular platforms. A wireless phone charger and multiple USB ports are other high-tech amenities inside the cabin of this electric car.

Adopting the award-winning EyeSight Driver Assist technologies, the 2023 Solterra is expected to lead its class in active safety. You'll notice a handful of familiar driver-assistance features on this crossover SUV, like the Pre-Collision Braking and Lane Change Assist. A camera system with 360-degree views is another major highlight of the signature safety suite.
