For the 2025 model year, the Subaru Outback sees some updates specific to certain trims. Notably, the Limited trim now comes with an expanded list of standard features. What Are the 2025 Outback Trims & Features?
The Outback lineup begins with the Base model. This trim features 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED fog lights, and roof rails. Inside, cloth upholstery is standard, and dual-zone climate control is included. The Base trim also offers dual seven-inch touchscreen displays with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration.
Next is the Premium trim, which upgrades to heated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The exterior mirrors are heated as well. This trim replaces the dual infotainment screens with a single 11.6-inch display.
The Onyx Edition trim follows, adding a heated steering wheel, a power sunroof, and an upgraded Harman Kardon sound system with 12 speakers. The Onyx Edition also offers additional driving modes.
The Onyx Edition XT trim includes even more features, such as heated rear seats, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, and a full-size spare tire.
The Wilderness trim is equipped with all-terrain tires, a front skid plate, lifted suspension, an upgraded roof rack, and unique exterior badges with copper accents.
The Limited trim adds a power liftgate, keyless entry, and leather seats. It also includes navigation and memory settings for the driver's seat.
The Limited XT trim mirrors the features of the Limited but comes with a turbocharged engine.
The Touring trim enhances comfort with upgraded leather seats and ventilated front seats.
The Touring XT trim adds a turbocharged engine to the mix.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 Outback Have?
The base engine, found in most trims, delivers 182 horsepower. The XT and Wilderness trims are equipped with a turbocharged engine that produces 260 horsepower. All models come standard with all-wheel drive and an automatic transmission.

The Outback's safety suite includes lane departure mitigation, forward collision warning, lane centering, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. The Onyx Edition adds features like evasive steering assist, rear automatic braking, and blind-spot warning.
