Focusing on sustainability, Subaru proudly teams up with the Arbor Day Foundation
Subaru is deepening its commitment to the environment by partnering with the Arbor Day Foundation. Together, they plan to plant over one million trees worldwide. Of those, more than 100,000 trees will be planted right here in the United States.
What is the Arbor Day Foundation?
Founded in the late 1960s, the Arbor Day Foundation has long been a leader in environmental stewardship. This nonprofit organization has planted over 500 million trees globally, supported by a community of more than a million members. Their work spans urban, suburban, and rural areas, made possible through partnerships with companies across various industries. With the help of corporate funding, the foundation is able to create greener, healthier communities around the world. One of its most impactful efforts, the Tree City USA program, has helped beautify thousands of American cities through large-scale tree-planting efforts.
Subaru’s Honorable Commitment to Sustainability
Subaru of America has earned a strong reputation for combining innovative engineering with a deep respect for the environment. Known for vehicles like the Crosstrek, Forester, and Ascent, Subaru designs its cars with both adventure and everyday life in mind. Many of its customers share the company’s values around sustainability, which inspired Subaru to launch the Love the Earth initiative. This campaign is focused on planting at least 100,000 trees throughout the United States.
Subaru dealerships and regional partners will oversee the program locally. Each dealer will contribute trees chosen specifically for their region’s climate and landscape—each one about four feet tall. These trees will be planted in schools, parks, playgrounds, shopping centers, and other key public spaces.
Through its partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, Subaru aims to address pressing environmental issues like deforestation and habitat loss. These new trees will help improve air quality, reduce flooding, and beautify communities across the country. Subaru and the ADF will also help restore forests in the American Southwest that have been impacted by wildfires.
