Artsfest, the biggest fine arts festival in Southwest Missouri, is scheduled to be held this year on May 7 & 8 on Historic Walnut Street in Downtown Springfield. Beloved by many art aficionados throughout the community, this popular spring event highlights the work of talented local artists and features an array of fun hands-on activities for attendees to enjoy.

Over 140 artists throughout Southwest Missouri take part in Artsfest each year. In addition to all of the impressive artwork on display at the Ozarks Gallery during the event, there are also several performance artists, including dancers and musicians, who are invited to show off their skills on one of the festival’s four stages. When event-goers are not listening to live music or viewing beautiful artwork, they’re encouraged to taste delicious treats from one of the many onsite food vendors. Additionally, attendees with children can stop by the Kid’s Arts Zone, which will include Springfield Pottery’s Claymobile and the Parkboard’s Chalk-It-Up sidewalk art gallery.

Running from 10 am to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, Artfest is a weekend-long event you’ll want to attend. Don’t miss out on all the fun it has to offer and be sure to bring your family along for the ride!
