Subaru Share the Love® Event Returns for 15th Consecutive Year

The Subaru Share the Love® Event returns in 2022 for its 15th consecutive year, which will donate to local and national charities. The effort behind the event stems from values to help those less fortunate to make a better world. Since its start in 2008, Subaru has donated over $200 million to charities across America. They hope that 2022 will mark the year that they achieved the $250 million donation milestone.

Where Does the Money Go to Support?

Subaru supports over 800 hometown charities with this event. The four notable national charities that they will donate to in 2022 include:

  • Meals on Wheels
  • ASPCA
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation
  • National Park Foundation

Thomas J. Doll, CEO and President at Subaru of America Inc., said that when they started the Share the Love® Event, they didn't realize how it would shift the foundations of the brand. Their goal to do more than offer cars became a reality.

The Impact on the Community

We don't say this to brag but to show you the real impact the donations have on our local communities. For example, thanks to the Share the Love® Event, Meals on Wheels has provided an extra four million meals to seniors across America. Looking at the impact that they have had with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Subaru has helped to grant the wishes of over 3,000 kids with life-threatening illnesses.

For the National Park Foundation, the Share the Love® Event has made Subaru, the largest corporate donor to the National Park Foundation. This foundation protects over 400 of America's National Parks. Finally, we will highlight our impact at the ASPCA, where we rank as the largest corporate donor again. At the ASPCA, donations from the Subaru event have helped with the rescue and adoption of over 104,000 animals.

How the Event Works

When you buy a Subaru vehicle from Thursday, November 17, 2022, to Tuesday, January 3, 2023, Subaru says that it will donate $250 to your choice of charity. The retailer can add an extra $50 to two local hometown charities.

Conclusion

For the 15th consecutive year in a row, Subaru has made a difference in our communities. Buying a Subaru vehicle for yourself will do good for others at the same time. If you'd like to learn more, you can visit our dealership and speak with our sales representatives.
