Country music legend Merle Haggard is set to take the stage for the first time in over 40 years at the O'Reilly Family Event Center in Springfield on Feb. 24, 2015. A one-night-only event, Haggard will be joined by country crooner Marty Stuart who rose to fame in the '90s with his solo career. Known as a pioneer of the country music scene, Haggard is a proud member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. He is a legend in the community and a brilliant performer that holds a special place in country music's history.

The fun goes down on Thursday, Jan 29 at Missouri State University's JQH Arena, where the Harlem Globetrotters will be parading their show-stopping basketball skills as a part of their 2015 "Washington General’s Revenge" Tour. An event for the whole family to enjoy, this is your chance to see the world-famous Globetrotters like you’ve never seen them before: up close and in person!

Running Dec. 5-7, this annual event is the perfect holiday gathering for art collectors interested in adding a few new elaborate pieces to their collection. The Juanita K. Hammons Hall for Performing Arts is home to the popular festival and its associated musical performances.

This year's Oktoberfest Village at Taste of Springfield was an incredible success. The Broadway rendition of the classic movie musical, "The Music Man," is headed to Springfield on Sept. 26 & 27 at Juanita K. Hammons Hall. Hosted by iconic actress Shirley Jones, the two-night event will co-star Patrick Cassidy and feature each unforgettable song and dance routine everyone fell in love with when the influential film debuted over 52 years ago. Complete with memorable scenes and fantastic musical numbers, "The Music Man" Broadway show is nothing short of spectacular.

Saturday, September 6, is a great day to stop by Reliable Subaru, located at 438 Ingram Mill Road, just off of Chestnut Expressway and Highway 65. The dealership will be hosting an Unveiling Event to present the all-new 2015 Subaru Legacy and 2015 Subaru Outback to the public.

Come out and support Springfield's role in establishing the legendary Route 66 at the annual Birthplace of Route 66 Festival, which will be held on August 8 & 9 at Park Central Square. Free for anyone who'd like to attend, this special event will pay tribute to the West Central neighborhood's impact on Route 66 and generate funds in order to restore the portion of Route 66 that runs through the neighborhood.
