What's New for the 2022 Subaru Ascent?

The 2022 Subaru Ascent has some mild updates for the latest model year, including blacked-out exterior trim accents to give the Onyx Edition an even more dramatic appearance. Minor changes have also been made to the packages available for certain trims. The Ascent is still a fairly new SUV that provides plenty of room with three rows of seating and comes stocked with standard and available amenities.

2022 Ascent Trims & Features

The 2022 Subaru Ascent is made in four trim levels, which are Base, Premium, Limited, and Touring. The base trim level provides you with a 6.5-inch touchscreen display, and it comes standard with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Bluetooth is also included with the base trim. An eight-passenger seating configuration is standard. The Premium trim level gives you the option of getting a seven-seat seating configuration instead. The front seats are heated on this trim level, which also has upgraded interior materials. Keyless entry and a power liftgate are other additions to the Premium trim. Navigation and a panoramic sunroof are available. The Limited trim provides even more features, including LED fog lights and upgraded leather upholstery. A Harman Kardon sound system provides upgraded sound quality. Heated seats and a parking camera come with the Touring trim level, which also has heated seats for the second row and a more upscale cabin with the addition of ambient interior lighting. A 120V power outlet helps keep devices charged as you're on the road.

The base trim can tow 2,000 pounds, while the top trims have a tow rating of 5,000 pounds. As with other Subaru vehicles, the Ascent has standard all-wheel drive.

All trim levels of the Ascent share some safety aids in common, which are a lane-keep assist system and adaptive cruise control. Adaptive LED headlights that move in the same direction you are turning are other standard features.
