You probably already know that Subaru is considered one of the safest vehicles made in the U.S., and you probably have seen the commercials where parents trust their new teen driver with the family Subaru, as an indication that its safe, but now there is an undeniable truth. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently honored Subaru with seven 2019 Top Safety Awards for the Ascent, Crosstrek, Impreza (sedan and 5-door) Legacy, Outback, and WRX.

This year, two Subaru models--the Impreza and the WRX--have received recognition for their longevity from Kelley Blue Book (KBB), each receiving the organization's Best Resale Value award for its respective class.

Kelley Blue Book has revealed the complete set of vehicles on their 16 Best Family Cars of 2016 list and we’re honored to say that the 2016 Subaru Outback earned a spot in the compilation. The wagon went up against 24 competitors to make it on the list and was praised for its cargo and passenger space, and first-class off-road capability.

Kelley Blue Book has officially handed out their annual Best Resale Value Awards and we’re proud to announce Subaru came out on top. The automaker nabbed KBB’s Best Resale Value Brand Award and also earned accolades for four of its models, including the 2016 Subaru WRX, 2016 Subaru Impreza, 2016 Subaru Legacy and 2016 Subaru Forester.

The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek was recently put to the test in Cars.com’s Subcompact SUV Challenge, which involved putting seven different small crossovers through a rigorous course to determine which one outperformed the rest. Of the models tested, the Subaru XV Crosstrek rose to the top of the pack and was crowned the Best Subcompact SUV on the market.
